How to download your BMO statements
PDF BETA · OFX SAFERPDF (beta) and OFX/QFX (recommended).
BMO files eStatements under My Documents and offers a Quicken export from the account activity view. The BMO PDF parser is a scaffold.
Steps
- 01Online Banking → My Documents → eStatements for the monthly PDF.
- 02Or Download Transactions → “Quicken” (.qfx) from the account activity view.
- 03Drop either file into Pare.
Worth knowing
BMO card and chequing statements use different layouts; both are scaffolded, so check the parsed totals against the statement summary on your first upload.
What Pare does with it
Drop the file into Pare and it parses the transactions locally, categorises them, and builds spending trends, budgets and a cash-flow forecast. Uploaded PDFs are deleted the moment they're parsed, and Pare never asks for your bank login. You can also self-host it so the data never leaves your machine.
