How to download your U.S. Bank statements
OFX / QFXOFX/QFX (recommended). PDF statements exist but Pare can't parse them.
U.S. Bank exports Quicken-format transaction files, which is the path into Pare — there's no U.S. Bank PDF parser.
Steps
- 01Sign in at usbank.com and open the account.
- 02From transactions, choose Download / Export.
- 03Pick the Quicken (.qfx) format.
- 04Drop the .qfx into Pare.
Worth knowing
If the download page offers both “Quicken” and “Quicken Web Connect”, either produces an OFX-family file Pare reads.
What Pare does with it
Drop the file into Pare and it parses the transactions locally, categorises them, and builds spending trends, budgets and a cash-flow forecast. Uploaded PDFs are deleted the moment they're parsed, and Pare never asks for your bank login. You can also self-host it so the data never leaves your machine.
