Connect Claude.ai to your finances
Hosted Β· no local setup
Hosted Pare exposes a remote MCP connector over OAuth, so Claude on the web and in the mobile apps can reach your account with no local setup at all.
Pare's MCP server exposes 24 tools β 13 that read (spending summaries, category breakdowns, cash-flow, subscriptions, budget status) and 11 that write (set goals, add categorisation rules, tag transactions). So you can ask about your own money in plain language instead of clicking through dashboards.
Steps
- 01Sign in to your hosted Pare account at pare.money.
- 02In Claude, open Settings β Connectors β Add custom connector.
- 03Enter https://pare.money/api/mcp as the server URL.
- 04Authorise the connection when Claude redirects you to Pare, and approve the scopes.
- 05The Pare tools are now available in any conversation.
Worth knowing
This is the one setup where your data leaves your machine β it's the hosted service, so Pare holds the database and Claude reaches it over the network. If you want the data to stay local, use the self-hosted stdio setup with Claude Desktop or Claude Code instead. You can revoke the connection any time from Pare's profile page.
What to ask once it's connected
- βIs my grocery spending trending up over the last six months?β
- βWhich subscriptions have I paid for over a year without the amount changing?β
- βEverything from this merchant is groceries β make that a rule and re-run it.β
- βIf I keep spending at this rate, what's my balance on the 15th?β
